Installation in practice

How Simplewire Core looks in a real, complex electrical panel

The image is from Tican and shows the controller, hubs, and clips in an active production installation. Here, the system is post-installed in the electrical panel: 60 circuits labeled and a time usage on a short workday.

  • The labeling is done in the electrical panel, not in the installation itself
  • No cover-up is necessary during installation
  • Designed for all environments and panel configurations
  • The electrical panel documentation is stored on the main unit

Value per role

Clear advantage for the entire organization

CFO / OWNER

Quick ROI and lower technical debt

Simplewire reduces technical debt, depending on the complexity and scope of the installation, while also accelerating ROI.

Operations Manager

Faster decisions in operation

Create predictability in daily work with precise and up-to-date labelling. Reduce costs associated with downtime, and make renovations and modifications easier because documentation is in place from the start.

Electrician

Less time on guesswork

Get direct access to correct and clear labelling. Avoid manual labels, strips, and unreliable troubleshooting and complete the task faster and more professionally.

Compliance

Documentation that ensures compliance and audit readiness with a digital solution that tracks the installation throughout its entire lifecycle and ensures that documentation is always up-to-date and accessible

Enhance traceability and audit readiness with a digital solution that tracks the installation throughout its entire lifecycle and ensures that documentation is always up-to-date and accessible.

Case Study

From labelling chaos to operational control

Tican: 3,000 verifications in daily operation

In environments with chemical cleaning, high traffic, and high complexity, physical labelling quickly disappears. Here, Core provides a complete overview with digital labelling, enabling the team to react faster to faults and breakdowns.

  • Less downtime during troubleshooting
  • Better overview in large, complex installations
  • Stronger foundation for operational continuity

Experiences indicate that even shorter downtime can become a significant economic risk. Therefore, digital labelling is quickly becoming a strategic investment rather than a technical detail

Experiences indicate that even shorter downtime can become a significant economic risk. Therefore, digital labelling is quickly becoming a strategic investment rather than a technical detail.

  • Enhance ROI arguments in discussions with management
  • Strengthened governance and documentation control
  • Ensure safe operation without dependency on individuals

How Simplewire Core works in practice

Simplewire Core is reinstalled with outgoing cables in the electrical panel and sends digital labelling data, which is captured by the accompanying scanner.

Install hardware without planned shutdown, even in large building masses with many electrical panels.

Configure locally via the controller’s interface and get 100% correct and comprehensive labelling.

Scan lines, lugs, and outlets, and immediately identify where they are supplied from.

Applications

Icon for new build

New Build

Digitally label from day one, with Core installed from the electrical panel builder. Install the panel, and labeling is complete.

Icon for replacing panels

Replacement of Electrical Panels

Get the Core mounted from the panel builder, install the panel, and complete the labelling on the first day.

Icon for relabelling

Relabelling

Get a quick fix for the inadequate labelling by retro-fitting Core into the existing panels.

Scanner in operation

Troubleshoot quickly and precisely with Simplewire Scanner

Once Core is installed in the electrical panel, the scanner in the ground is used to identify circuits directly at the conductor, stud, or outlet. The team gets a clear answer immediately and avoids unnecessary testing.

Find correct supply quickly without interrupting unnecessary operation in operation.

Verify the result in the field and reduce the risk of incorrect connections.

Create a consistent workflow across electricians and service teams.

Frequently Asked Questions

Typical questions before startup

Are scanners bound to a specific installation?

No. The scanners are not locked to an installation and can be used across all Simplewire Core installations.

Will I still have labelling if the security is removed?

Yes. The labelling is still available, even if there is no energised/live voltage on the coil - the system works both with and without voltage.

How long does it take to install the system?

In an electrical panel with around 60 circuit breakers, a complete installation typically takes 1-3 hours.

Does installing Simplewire Core require education or a course?

No. The system is developed so that anyone authorized to work in an electrical panel can install it.

What happens to my panel data if the Controller is damaged?

No. The electrical panel documentation is stored on an SD card, which you can transfer to a new controller or unit.

How long does it take to create a pilot project?

Typically, you can have a full installation up and running in a few days. After that, the speed of rollout depends on how quickly the users want to scale the solution.

Does the installation require me to shut off the power?

No. Simplewire Core can be installed without interrupting the power supply or removing any conductors.
