Simplewire Core ensures correct cable labelling
Simplewire Core makes it easy to create a digital overview of cables in existing installations.
From an existing electrical panel to a digital cable overview
Simplewire Core is easy to install once the electrical panel has been tidied up. Kent from Tican explains that he worked from top to bottom and, once everything was organised correctly, he was finished in no time. Core is adapted to the specific electrical panel, and the physical hardware stays in place as a permanent part of the installation.
Core is now installed at Tican and Nutrimin, among other companies. These installations show how the solution can be integrated into existing environments and provide a digital starting point for subsequent cable identification.

“When production stops, every minute counts.”
Kent, electrician at Tican
A faster route from a fault to the right cable
In large production areas, staff may cover many kilometres, and troubleshooting often starts with local knowledge, opening cabinets and visually inspecting the electrical panels. Kent describes a situation in which the search can take around 20 minutes before it may need to continue in the next electrical room.
Core provides an additional digital reference point when older cable labels have been damaged or fallen off. The scanner can be used to identify the relevant cable. It has few buttons, takes up little space and fits in a back pocket.
This is where time is saved: not as a fixed promise of a particular number of minutes, but by making the route from a fault to the right cable shorter and more systematic.

Core needs to fit into the working day
Core is more than the physical installation in the electrical panel. The scanner is used to locate a cable, while the information is managed through the web interface, where names can be assigned throughout the installation.
On a computer, it is easy to create and edit information for many cables at once. A mobile phone is the quick option when a single cable needs to be added or updated at the installation. After around three hours of hands-on setup, Kent said that he had got to grips with the software.
Simplewire Core can be installed in both existing operations and new projects.
