Cre8tek is leading Simplewire’s pioneering electrical system from concept to production

Startup Simplewire has chosen Cre8tek to manage production of their innovative system for the electrical installation sector.

Simplewire is a Danish start-up company that has developed a system for digital labelling of electrical installations, replacing analogue labels and stickers. The aim is to reduce the risk of human error and make it easier to identify and repair electrical systems.

Cre8tek has helped Simplewire optimise the mechanical design and has been responsible for testing, quality assurance and production of the system’s units, while Simplewire has handled electronics and software.

CEO at Simplewire, Sasha Beck, praises Cre8tek’s high level of service:

- I think we have received an exceptionally good service, which I believe is due to their belief in us as a start-up. I have been very surprised that as a small start-up, we have received such a personal service from a company with over 200 employees, Sasha Beck observes.

Cre8tek breaks down cultural barriers and makes collaboration safe

Cre8tek’s Danish/Chinese ownership and presence has created a business model with fewer cultural barriers. Customers can more easily communicate directly with production in China, where Cre8tek’s CEO in China, Yilin Pei, is ready to handle international customers:

- I have worked with European companies since 2001 and have a strong focus on ensuring new customers feel safe and comfortable using us, even though we are based in China.

That is something Sasha Beck can also recognise:

- Because Pei has lived in Denmark and is very open, the collaboration has been much easier. And being able to talk directly with Pei has made decision-making processes very effective, because Pei has the experience he has, but also because he is directly on the factory floor and is part of the entire development process.

Mutual trust has been essential

Beyond direct communication, Sasha Beck also notes that good rapport and trust have positively influenced the collaboration:

- It’s a partnership and relationship that I don’t think we’d find many others. And yes, it’s incredibly efficient. We don’t need to double-check everything when we delegate to Cre8tek, and therefore we can sometimes just look at the result.

Yelin Pei agrees with Sasha Beck that mutual trust has been essential.

- It’s a good match with good rapport, and we collaborate well with each other. We see Simplewire not only as a good business partner, but we’ve also built a unique relationship with great trust.

One-stop box-build production partner

The two partners are making minor adjustments, and Sasha Beck is then looking forward to putting development on hold and pressing the large ‘production button’ with the production partner:

- We look forward to simply being able to order units when we need them. We are 100% confident that Pei and the team are in control of what needs to be done – without us needing to be particularly involved. They are increasingly becoming our one-stop box-build production partner.
