Bringing Flex+ closer to customers with Elma Instruments

From carrying case to hands-on demonstration

To understand how a product fits into everyday work, you need to see it in practice. That is why we brought Flex+ to Solar's customer centres in Copenhagen and Odense together with Claus from Elma Instruments.

At the customer centres, Claus and Peter present the complete Flex+ kit and show how the transmitter, scanner, cables and accessories are packed in a single portable case. This makes it easy to bring the solution along, set it up and walk customers through the workflow.

Flex+ is designed for cable and circuit identification in existing installations. The solution can work with up to 10 circuits at a time and displays a clear circuit ID on the scanner. This provides practical help when labelling or documentation no longer matches the actual installation.

From scepticism to interest

Claus describes a demonstration for a customer who needed to locate some old cables for removal. The customer was initially sceptical about whether Flex+ could do the job. After seeing the solution in use, however, their view changed. The customer became interested in using Flex+ to locate cables that were no longer in use so they could be removed from the installation.

According to Claus, the value becomes clear when Flex+ is demonstrated in practice: the solution is easy to work with and precise for the task it was designed for. Customers commonly ask about its range and the size of the signal clamps. He points out that the signal can be traced over considerable cable distances and that the clamps can be placed around individual conductors, allowing the solution to be used with larger cable cross-sections as well.
